Membership is open to all who support its aims.

The Australian Association for Mission Studies acknowledges the prior custodianship of Australian land by its indigenous peoples and their central importance to Australia as its first peoples.

The first national AAMS Conference, from 2 to 5 October 2008, was a great event attended by nearly a hundred people from Australia and New Zealand.
