What is Church?
Traditionally many people (even many Christians) have thought of 'Church' as being a building or a service they go to on Sundays, Christmas or Easter etc. But actually that's just a misunderstanding.
The Bible shows us that the 'Church' is actually a community of people. It's really like a massive family including every single person who believes that Jesus Christ is their saviour and King. Through our relationship with Jesus, we are 'children' of God and therefore one big family for eternity!
Locally the Church is found in many different groups, flavours, styles, ages and interests, but we're all linked together by our relationship with Jesus. He is the head of the Church and the one who sustains all life too!

Our youth group is part of South Croydon, Croydon Hills & Wonga Park Anglican Church communities. These are just one 'arm' of the biggest world wide family of people that exists!! But it's not exclusive, you're welcome to check us out too!?
Our wider Church families (that is, not only the 'youth') do gather regularly together on Sunday mornings for Worship Services and gatherings afterwards.
At these services we usually:
- sing and celebrate our life with God,
- remember what Jesus has done for us through taking Communion together
- hear and recieve teaching from the Bible through gifted preachers & teachers.
- then eat, drink and catch up with each other afterwards!
Vistors and newcomers are always welcome, don't stress there's no 'protocols' and you don't have to know everything - just go with the flow like we do!
