About Us

Established as a church in 1964, we are a church plant of the Boronia Church of Christ.

In 45 years we have seen the many changes from the boom of families moving into the area, in the 70's and 80's, through to the church growth movement in the 80's and 90's. We now face what many churches in Australia face, the steady plato/decline in church attendance, asking our selves questions of relevance and where to from here. We now find ourselves in an age of post-christendom, post-modern society.

Knoxfield Church of Christ has been a great welcoming and caring community with now about 65 committed members.

While many may look back on our past and remeniss that 'those were the days', when our Sunday school had 100 kids and our youth group was thriving, our ministry team continues to look forward to what could be. While our current status as a community may not reflect that booming community, we still have a core community of Christians here committed to where the Holy Spirit may take them next.

However, the past is the past and the Church cannot expect God to work in exactly the same ways as He did, we as a community need to find God's purposes for us now. This means among other things putting God first in our lives and shedding all that displeases him and committing ourselves to the transforming work of the Holy Spirit in order that Christ is formed in us.

As we journey with our God in this way our impact on a world that so desperately needs Christ is enhanced. We remember that life is focused in Him and how we, his Church, need to get into his 'groove'. This may be uncomfortable at times, but finding Christ in our circumstances makes our suffering worthwhile.

We serve a mighty God who loves us with a love that is beyond knowing and he wants to continually pour is blessing and grace upon us so that we can be all that he created us to be and to know that life is found in Him. As Jesus said, "...whoever loses his life for my sake with find it" (Matt 10:39).

It's all about HIM!!!
